Cutting No Corners

Business-like Organization - Our best resource is our combined volunteer and professional coaching staff. Managing a successful travel program for 11/12 YO athletes requires a diverse skill set: organizational skills, attention to details, advance scheduling, communications, practice planning, position specific trainings, game management, etc. Our staff is organized with all of these requirements in mind.

Professional Coaches

Our team also relies on a close, strategic partnership with Arlington  Softball + (AS+). Our players receive team and private training with AS+ year round in all areas of the game. All AS+ coaches work closely with each other and our coaching staff - so development work, focus points, team drills, etc. are all coordinated. See Coach Kristi’s bio along with the rest of the AS+ staff at www.arlingtonvasoftball.com.

We are proud to announce that Coach Kristi Kelleher will return in the fall as our primary development coach. Coach Kristi brings loads of experience, highlighted by a standout NCAA Div 1 career at Charleston Southern University. Coach Kristi was pivotal in the team’s recent development success and will be increasing her role this season. She is a perfect mentor for our athletes.

Facilities Local, convenient and second to none.

  • On Field Practices/Play - The 12U Sage (2007) will practice and play home games at Yorktown HS or W&L HS. Both facilities have multiple hitting cages, pitching machines, bullpens and lights.

  • Winter Training - We will utilize the brand new, state-of-the-art hitting facility at Barcroft Park in Arlington for team workouts throughout the winter. Additionally, we will continue to conduct indoor Arlington school gymnasium trainings during the winter months.

  • Private Lessons with Coaches and AS+ - During fall, spring and summer months, our coaches routinely hold private or small group workouts (infield, outfield, catching, etc) and we utilize Arlington’s numerous facilities that are available to the Sage program (not others).

  • Technology - Training and development, even with 11/12 YO athletes, can benefit from readily available and cost efficient technology. Our coaches are trained in utilizing video analysis, swing metric technology and other appropriate tools and will do so when appropriate and available.
